COVID-19: Home Care Tips You Should Know

With the upsurge of COVID-19 cases in Lagos, as well as the discovery of a new strain, safety is even more imperative than before.

  • Check your oxygen level with an oximeter.
  • Take some paracetamol.

Should symptoms get dire, ensure to have a cylinder at home.

Drink lots of liquid and engage deep breathing exercise.

When Should You Visit the Hospital?

Visit the hospital if your oxygen levels drop below 50 (check your oxygen levels you’re your oximeter; normal oxygen levels are between 98-100) and  if you don’t have an oxygen cylinder at immediate availability.

Other Things to Note

  • Take some Vitamin E
  • Sit in sunlight for 15-20 minutes, daily.
  • Have some egg at least once a day.
  • Minimum sleep time should be 7-8 hours.
  • All meals should be warm, or hot. Never cold.
  • Drink at least 1.5 litres of water daily.

The acidity level of the coronavirus varies from 5.5 to 8.5. therefore, consumption of alkaline foodstuffs like bananas, green lemon, yellow lemon, avocado, garlic, mango, tangerine, pineapple, oranges, watercress, and fruits rich in Vitamin C.
