LAGOS CITY MARATHON: ROADS TO BE CLOSED

 

On Saturday February the 11th, some major roads in Lagos will be temporary closed to accommodate participants of the Lagos City Marathon. These major roads will be shut down to motorists for between a couple of hours to as much as twelve hours.

To avoid being subjected to stand still traffic, here are top 9 roads you should stay away from on the day or at least for the time period when they will be closed.

Third Mainland Bridge: Closed from 7:15am – 2pm
Alternative route: Ikorodu Road | Apapa | Orile | Mile 2 | Mushin (Depending on your location)
Know.ng – Third mainland bridge closed
Alaka Road Service lane: Closed from 5:45am – 7:30am
Alternative route: Iponri/Iganmu

National Stadium: Closed from 6:45am – 9:00am
Alternative route: Iponri/Iganmu
Ojuelegba axis: Closed from 6:45am – 9:00am
Dormanlong bridge: Closed from 6:45am – 9:00am
Obanikoro to Anthony: Closed from 6:45am – 9:00am
Oworonsoki : Closed from 7:15am – 9:00am
Adekunle Junction to Third Mainland Bridge: 
Closed from 7:30am – 2:00pm
Onipanu: Closed from 6:45am – 9:00am
