Whatsapp, the popular messaging app for both Android and iOS devices will be ending support for some older operating systems.
This means that users of these operating systems will no longer receive updates, create accounts or reverify existing accounts anymore.
If you read the FAQ page carefully, a select number of operating systems will lose each of these features mentioned above. However, you’ll be able to continue using WhatsApp on:
- Android versions 2.3.7 and older until February 1, 2020
- iOS 8 and older until February 1, 2020
Whastapp also noted that users of Windows Phone operating systems will no longer be able to use its services after December 31, 2019, and it might not be available in the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019.
